Expression Strains

Proteins, which are structurally very complex chemical compounds, are most readily synthesized by living organisms. The basis for the selection of the expression host out of prokaryotic and eukaryotic expression strains are the following parameters:

• differences in protein constitution
• requirements in the scope of oxidation and reduction conditions in the environment of the polypeptide chain composition into an active protein molecule
• requirements in the scope of the so-called posttranslational modifications
• cytotoxicity of proteins

Blirt will select the optimal strain based on the above parameters.
